Before the ceremony
Jamie will meet you 1 hour before you're due to leave for the ceremony. If that's at home, a hotel or at the venue, not a problem.
You'll know when he's arrived because the energy levels in the room will rise. He'll come bouncing in with his camera equipment, making sure everyone in the room is smiling and set for the day ahead.
The photos during this time are non-posed and its simply time to capture the prep. Jamie will set up a few photos but it’s all good fun and nothing to worry about.
Showtime
The ceremony is often daunting. Don't panic... The vicars and registrars of this world are all very nice. Jamie's met most of them and has a good working relationship with them. He'll make sure you're well looked after.
Once you get to the front Jamie will be there too with camera in hand. He will be quietly snapping away. Just enjoy the moment and don't worry about a thing.
This time will fly by, and you'll be amazed at how quickly time passes. It'll feel like a whirlwind. Don't worry though... Jamie has captured everything on camera for you.
Some timeout
After the ceremony and all the official stuff, Jamie will lead you out and away from everyone. Some time to catch your breath and chill. Once you're happy to, a few natural and relaxed photos will be taken in the grounds of the venue/church. Jamie will help with the posing, and you'll soon feel like a model.
When there's a good few photos you can have a few more minutes before heading back to your wedding guests. Its going to be a long day of smiles and hellos so take your time.
The guests
As you're greeted by your wedding guests, Jamie will be capturing you with friends and family from afar. Relaxed candid shots. This will run for around 10/20 mins depending on weather, location, and general time constraints. However long we get, you'll have a lot of nice moments caught on camera.
You'll then move into the more formal group shots.
This is where Jamie comes alive. He'll call up the bridal party first. That's the Best Man, Ushers, Bridesmaids, Parents, grandparents, and siblings..... All the main characters in the nice suits and dresses basically.
A large number of photos will be taken during this time. Jamie will be cracking the jokes as he's known to do and generally entertaining the crowds. He's known to be a little cheeky at times but he's very good are gauging the audience. Don't worry, he'll be fine.
If you don't like lots of formal photos, just say, Jamie will get the essentials and give you space. If you want to get the world and his dog, cool, That's the work mates, school mates, Hen do, Stag do, the neighbours, the bloke from the butchers... Jamie will keep going till someone says stop (Normally the venue because the foods ready).
However long this time runs for, you have many photos to look back on, Jamie will make sure of that.
The tables, the room and stuff!
You've no doubt put a lot of thought into the venue, the favours, decorations and everything else so Jamie will get shots of all that before the guests arrive in the room.
Camera off
Once you've all been seated in the room for the wedding breakfast, Jamie will leave you be to enjoy your food.
He will remain onsite and will make sure the venue keeps him updated on course progress.
You'll see him again when its soon time to start the speeches.
Speeches, and then into the evening time
Jamie will capture the speakers and reactions around the room. By this time, the drinks have been flowing and people are more eager to request photos. Not an issue, Jamie will gladly take couple shots and groups of friends, it what he's there for.
You may have a few additional evening guests arrive too. Jamie will make a point of saying hello to any new faces and will request a photo or 2 once they've had a drink and settled in.
Jamie will now be mingling with everyone and snapping away.
Cake and First Dance
The cutting of the cake will be set up by Jamie. He will position you both with the cake and ensure you get a good old-fashioned countdown before you make a slice. He will invite others to take photos too as this has always been a classic photo for guests.
You'll then be led to the dancefloor to bust some moves.
Jamie will be capturing this moment from numerous points around the dancefloor. He may also suggest a little twirl or two, It makes for a great photo.
Just about done
So now were well into the evening and Jamie is getting a last few shots of the dancers on the dancefloor. It’s now time for Jamie to power down the cameras and leave you and your guests to enjoy the night without a camera in sight. He'll wonder over, give you a cheery high 5 and no doubt thank you for a great day.
And that's how a typical wedding day will go!
Jamie will take away the many many images from the day and will be in touch when the photos are ready to be returned. It normally takes up to 3 weeks, but this time will fly by. Most of the time the photos will be sent via Royal Mail to your home or work address, 1st class. They may be delivered by hand if Jamie is local enough.
I hope this helps you understand how a typical wedding day will run. If your day is different in anyway, not a problem. Things can be adjusted to accommodate.
